The ISTIOPLOIKOS Restaurant received a silver award at the Estia Awards 2019!

It was a great honor for Costas Gagos Architecture & Design to be comissioned to design the historic restaurant ISTIOPLOIKOS at the site of the Sailing Club in Mikrolimano. It was a project of responsibility that was successfully completed, creating a space worthy of its position and historicity. Inspiration started from ceiling, where special imposing circular structures that act as light sources, refer to portholes of ships. Wood as the dominant material combined with prevailing blue hue interrupted by golden metallic details comes to further enhance the feeling of ship and sea. When the windows are opened, inside and outside become one, while the feeling that the visitor receives from the overall design is completed with the wonderful view of the sailboats of the port.
